Kick Off to a Great Year!

We had a great meeting Monday night.  Thanks to those who could attend.  For those who had other commitments, let me know what your are interested in being a part of.  We are going to focus on a couple of mission projects in March and April. (I will post them later this week.)  The youth will be gathering some ideas for how they can be a part of missions.   Operation Christmas Child is working on gathering specific supplies through out the year. 
 

Foxworthy's Missions Goals for 2013

1. Work to educate our church family about the Cooperative Program.
Many of our church members are not familiar with the Cooperative Program and the importance it plays in the Southern Baptist Missional Efforts.

2. Help our church family understand the role of missions here at Foxworthy and how they can be a part of helping others hear the gospel of Christ. 
When people here the word "missions"  it is often thought about going on a missions trip to a foreign country.  Missions starts in the home, moves to our community and expands through out the globe. 

3.  Develop a team of people who are willing to serve long term or short term on the missions ministry team.   
We can accomplish more when we work together.  Perhaps you can't serve for the entire year, but still want to be a part of the team, then join us for a specific mission project or emphasis.
