Beyond our Expectations!

We are coming to the end of our North American Missions Emphasis and our church family has been faithful in giving to the Annie Armstrong Offering.  As of today, we have received $2,777.00 all of which will be going directly to the Missionaries throughout the US, Canada and their territories.  Our goal was $2,000, how awesome to see how God provided far more that we anticipated!   Take a look at the Missions board and see how our missionaries will use these funds to further the Kingdom of God.

As we wrap up this time, I will asking our church members for one more request this Sunday.  Please send a note of encourage to the missionaries that we have been praying for this past month.  There will be a basket of cards already addressed to one of the six missionaries that are being highlighted this year.  All you need to do if fill out the card and then place it in the offering, drop it off back into the basket or in the church office.  The church will mail them out for us.

In the works are more missions opportunities.   Within the next week we will be asking the church to donate one or two items each month until November for Operation Christmas Child.  That will be introduced within the next week to our church members.  We are getting ready for Summer, so there are a few things our team can work on, Vacation Bible School, homeless hygiene bags, Vacation Bible school with the Campbell church, plus more.  I will be scheduling another meeting soon so we can start preparing for the summer months and into fall.

Do you want help but not sure how to go about it.  First, check out the the Women's Mission Union webpage and this will get you started with an idea or a suggestion.  Maybe you have an idea already, you can see if it matches up to the one of the Missions Objectives.  Do some research and see if your idea would be a good fit for our team.  Talk to our Missions Leader and set up a plan to see your project through!   Remember don't get discouraged if the project doesn't work out, maybe there is another option.  And always pray about what God would want us to do!
